Sweetest Antique Hand Painted Under Glass Roses Pin Brooch French Signed AB

This little 19th century French beauty is so wonderful! Yes, it is a little tricky to close. Yes, some of the paint has flecked off under the glass front...but she is still such an old BEAUTY! Love the aged and worn brass (bronze) metal bezel. And the roses are SO SWEET! With alteration from a jeweler, she could be a sweet pendant.Would also make a great assemblage component! LOVE this one!!!

Marked AB under the glass. Base metal, brass or bronze?

The brooch measures approx. 1 1/4" x 1".

Vintage condition. Again, some paint has flecked off, under the glass front. Pin is in working order, BUT it is tricky to line up to fit exactly in the sheath! A repair may be necessary! Lovely worn metal surface, with aged brass patina. This is older and has been worn, please expect surface scratches and surface wear commensurate with age. Patinas do darken in storage and may be darker than pictured. Please view photos above! This has NOT been polished in my possession.

Vintage. Do NOT use liquid silver polish or harsh chemicals on pieces with stones (especially turquoise) as those substances will cause damage. A simple silver cloth will do, taking care to avoid the stones as much as possible.
