Mexican Sterling Silver Taxco and Alapaca Abalone Butterfly Brooch Screw Back Earrings Set Vintage

Fun married set. Mexican pieces. Abalone inlay butterfly pin and earrings.

Earrings are marked A MUNOZ, TAXCO, MEX, 925, and a n EAGLE MARK. Pin is simply marked MEX and appears to be alpaca. Metals are not tested for purity in my possession, descriptions are based on the markings.

The brooch measures approx. 1 1/2" long by approx. 1 1/2" at the tallest point. The earrings are approx. 1" x 1".

Vintage condition. Dark patina to the metal. These have NOT been polished in my possession.

These are older and have been worn, please expect surface scratches and surface wear. Please look closely at the photos...many of which are magnified, as they are close-up shots. Color does vary with different screens. Patinas do darken in storage. I am always happy to answer questions.

Vintage. Do NOT use liquid silver polish or harsh chemicals on pieces with stones (especially turquoise) as those substances will cause damage. A simple silver cloth will do, taking care to avoid the stones as much as possible.
