Beautfiul butterfly pin by Danecraft. Gold vermeil over sterling with some patina. Nice quality to this little pin.

In 1934, under the parent company Felch & Company, Victor Primavera Sr. founded the Danecraft Corporation. Primavera was from a long line of successful Italian jewelers and his company was one of the earliest in America to manufacture quality costume jewelry. Felch & Co and Danecraft separated during WWII the two company marks would not be used together again. The pin is marked STERLING, a registered mark, and DANECRAFT. Items are not tested, descriptions are based on the markings.

The pin measures approx. 7/8" at the tallest point by approx. 1 1/4" at the widest point.

Vintage condition. Pin mechanism is tight and in working order. Please expect some surface wear and scratches. This has NOT been polished in my possession.

This is older and has been worn, please expect surface scratches and surface wear. Please look closely at the photos...many of which are magnified, as they are close-up shots. Color does vary with different screens. Patinas do darken in storage. I am always happy to answer questions.

Vintage. Do NOT use liquid silver polish or harsh chemicals on pieces with stones (especially turquoise) as those substances will cause damage. A simple silver cloth will do, taking care to avoid the stones as much as possible.
