Sweetest Antique Vintage Flower Rose Guilloche Enamel Etched Sterling Silver 925 Locket Brooch Pin

What a lovely piece.... A locket pin with the prettiest guilloche enamel rose. Guilloche is a process where metal is treated to “machine-engraved decoration…over which a translucent enamel is often applied”. (pg. 266 of Warman’s Jewelry Identification and Price Guide 2002)

LOVE the enamel colors. Certain to be a favorite! Light wear and patina to the surface (has not been polished in my possession).

The pin is marked STERLING on the inside. Descriptions are based on the markings and ar not acid tested.

The pin measures approx. 1 3/4" at the tallest point by approx. 1" at the widest point.

Vintage condition. Locket still clicks shut and the pin mechanism is in working order. Please expect some surface wear and scratches. This has NOT been polished in my possession.

This is older and has been worn, please expect surface scratches and surface wear. Please look closely at the photos...many of which are magnified, as they are close-up shots. Color does vary with different screens. Patinas do darken in storage. I am always happy to answer questions.

Vintage. Do NOT use liquid silver polish or harsh chemicals on pieces with stones (especially turquoise) as those substances will cause damage. A simple silver cloth will do, taking care to avoid the stones as much as possible.
