Vintage Mexican sterling and abalone Butterfly pin. Medium to dark patina ono this cool piece. Pretty cool and purplish abalone.
The pin is marked STERLING, MEXICO, 925 and an EAGLE mark. Descriptions are based on the markings, items are not tested in my possession.
The pin measures approx. 1 1/4" at the tallest point by approx. 1 1/4" at the widest point.
Vintage condition. Medium patina. Pin mechanism is tight and in working order. Please expect some surface wear and scratches. This has NOT been polished in my possession.
This is older and has been worn, please expect surface scratches and surface wear. Please look closely at the photos...many of which are magnified, as they are close-up shots. Color does vary with different screens. Patinas do darken in storage. I am always happy to answer questions.
Vintage. Do NOT use liquid silver polish or harsh chemicals on pieces with stones (especially turquoise) as those substances will cause damage. A simple silver cloth will do, taking care to avoid the stones as much as possible.
